The backlash to Pedro Pascal is starting to rev up and I'm not happy about this because he does seem like a nice guy. Also, it's not his fault that he was starring in three huge franchises that basically all came out at the same time plus some other stuff. But people get annoyed because he is contractually obligated to do a whole bunch of promotion for all of that stuff. And it really is worse now in this media environment than it was when I was a kid. Because back in the day there definitely was such a thing as getting sick of seeing a celebrity. But usually it meant they were in a couple of shows and they were on a bunch of magazine covers. But today when we say a celebrity is everywhere, we truly mean they are everywhere like on all of our screens. It also doesn't help that people cannot stop being weird about him. Do you think it's safe to say that Reed is the first capital Daddy in the MCU? Are there no other fathers in the Daddy. Oh, daddy. Now, I remember a time when almost everybody loved Chris Pratt and Jack Black. Usually, right around here is when people will find something that will act as a tipping point, something that the celebrity said or was involved in that gives the angry people something to latch on to. And at that point, it just becomes cool to hate that person. And the thing is, it's not like Pedro Pascal can just take a step back from Hollywood. He apparently is going to be the lead in the new Avengers movie next year where it will be competing at the box office with the new Mandalorian film. But none of this is his fault. This is just the way Hollywood works
