beloved films from my youth that Gen Z should avoid at all costs. These are all films that were considered sweet or even heartwarming at the time, but they have not held up. The world has changed a lot since the 1980s. I'm talking about films like Revenge of the Nerds, a movie about bullying and the downtrodden striking back. And if there's some young person out there who says actually sounds pretty good, no find any other movie about that. I am being vague about these plots on purpose. You can discuss it in the comments if you want. Number two on our list is Soulman, a film about a privileged white college student learning about racism. The problem is the way he did it. And if you do go look this up again, this is what counted as a well-meaning film in my youth. Porky's was an enormous hit and comes in at number three on our list. This franchise would actually tackle some very serious social issues. But if you watch this film today, that is not what's going to stick with you. Zapped, a light-hearted coming of age film starring Scott Beao. And I'm actually not sure it's legal to watch the finale of this film today. Overboard, starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Han. Another very heartwarming film about class and economic differences. And also, his wacky scheme is a serious felony that I think would get him sent away for the rest of his life. And an honorable mention goes to the 1994 film Milk Money. Some people insist this film holds up. I strongly disagree. If any of my fellow old people out there want to recommend other films that Jinzy should avoid at all costs, please say so in the comments. Again, the goal is not to cancel any of these films. I'm just saying the world has changed.
